Today is day 1 of the 30 in 30.  This is a painting challenge where we are challenged to create and post a painting each day for the month of September.  The challenge was created by a Californian artist, Leslie Saeta  that also hosts a pod cast that I find extremely helpful, called “Artists helping Artists” or AHA radio.  If you are an artist, its definitely worth checking out.

So here is my first painting for the challenge, an oil painting based on the China Pavilion in Epcot at Walt Disney World.  I took this pic on my last trip home and loved the water lilies in front.  I added a geisha girl as it seemed she would be right at home in this spot.

There is also a little hidden mickey for those that like to hunt for them.  This painting is 14″ tall by 18″ wide, with a bow for hanging.  If you are interested in purchasing it, please visit my etsy shoppe.  I plan on doing mostly landscapes for this challenge, some local to me, some not.  There may also be some surprises as well.  Hope you follow me on my quest!
